Bridging Barriers

Building Bridges with Rwanda (BBR), in collaboration with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health at the University of Toronto, is launching an initiative to empower African youth (ages 18–26) to address the housing crisis facing their communities.

Using a participatory action approach, this project will enable youth to document their experiences, engage in meaningful dialogue with decision-makers, and advocate for systemic change at the intersection of race, climate change, and homelessness. Participants will gain skills in community organizing, research, and advocacy while collaborating to create a powerful 30-minute video that amplifies their voices and inspires actionable solutions for equitable housing access.
